Reverse Banknote Details (Jackson Portrait Side)

• The top two sides feature the traditional Chinese characters "香港上海 汇丰银行" (Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation), with the British name "THE HONGKONG & SHANGHAI BANKING CORPORATION" printed in the center, and the British Royal Warrant above.

• The oval portrait on the right is of Sir Thomas Jackson (early General Manager of HSBC); the blank oval on the left is the traditional watermark area.

• The center is marked with the English "FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS" and the traditional Chinese characters "伍百圆" (Five Hundred Yuan), with the terms of issue, place of issue (Hong Kong), and date of issue (February 11, 1968) printed below.

• The bottom features the official handwritten signatures of the accounting director and the general manager, with the number 500 and the traditional Chinese characters "伍百" (Five Hundred) repeatedly marked in the four corners and along the border.

• The overall color scheme uses a brown-red and gray-blue interwoven pattern with dense and detailed lines, demonstrating sophisticated anti-counterfeiting engraving technology.

• The left side features an oval profile relief of the goddess Victoria, with soft, three-dimensional lines;

• The main image within a large circular frame in the center is the HSBC Headquarters Building in Hong Kong at the time, paired with a distant mountain view, recreating the urban landscape of Central in the 1960s;

• The four corner borders contain the Arabic numeral 500 and the traditional Chinese characters for "伍百" (five hundred), with the serial number K917870 printed repeatedly at the top and bottom;

• The bottom displays the full English name of the issuing bank, as well as the markings of the British printing plants Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. and New Malden;
