A 1971 Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) $100 banknote (Pick#183c, KNB70n-p; Serial No. 227960 VH), popularly known among collectors as the "Little Bible" (*Xiao Sheng Shu*). The obverse features a seated goddess in a red robe reading a book, the bank's name in both Chinese and English, the denomination, the bank's emblem, and the dual signatures of the Chief Accountant and General Manager. The reverse depicts the old HSBC headquarters building and an eagle relief. It features a watermark of a warrior's head alongside the numeral "100" and was produced using intaglio printing by the British firm Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co.
