1959 North Korean Second Series 50 Won Banknote, Pick #16, Serial Number GNG707533; The obverse features a harvest woman holding ears of wheat, in a retro purple-blue engraved color scheme. The top displays the Korean inscription "Central Bank of Korea," and the denomination "오십원 (Fifty Won)" is symmetrically printed around the edges. The border is decorated with intricate traditional scrollwork. The reverse features the national emblem, the Taedong River Iron Bridge, and scenery of Pyongyang. The country's name, "People's Republic of Korea," is printed above, along with a geometric watermark. This is a classic early North Korean agricultural-themed banknote.
