Product Introduction

The 1997 Hong Kong Handover Commemorative Newly Minted Uncirculated Coin Set, officially issued by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority on behalf of the Hong Kong government, was launched to commemorate the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on July 1, 1997. It is a landmark historical commemorative coin collectible.

The complete set contains 7 brand-new, uncirculated legal tender coins in denominations of 1 cent, 2 cents, 5 cents, 1 dollar, 2 dollars, 5 dollars, and 10 dollars. The obverse of each coin features the Bauhinia flower, the official flower of Hong Kong, while the reverse features a new commemorative design themed around the handover, replacing the old portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, symbolizing a new stage in Hong Kong's history.

Accompanying Original Collector's Album:

• The outer cover is a purple-red pull-out cardboard box with a circular window revealing illustrations of the Bauhinia flower on the inner pages. The inner pages feature the Bauhinia flower as the main visual element, with exquisite and complete printing. The original album has no missing pages, damage, or glue detachment, and the packaging is in excellent condition.

• The coins are in mint condition, uncirculated, with no fingerprints or oxidation spots, and retain their original luster. The entire set is sealed in a dedicated collector's insert to protect them from air and moisture, preserving their condition for a long time.
