The obverse features a standard round hole in the center, flanked by the Chinese characters for "10 sen". Cherry blossoms and wave patterns are engraved above and below, with the characters for "Japan" inscribed at the top. The rim is surrounded by a finely beaded border, and the die-stamping is clear and three-dimensional, preserving the original luster.
