Product Description

This is a 1941 Hong Kong government one-cent banknote, serial number A9212345, a desirable serial number. The obverse features a crown, the inscription "GOVERNMENT OF HONGKONG" in both Chinese and English, and the words "1 CENT," along with the Financial Secretary's signature. The reverse has a red wavy background with "ONE CENT" inscribed on both sides. It was the smallest denomination government subsidiary banknote in Hong Kong before World War II, and mint condition banknotes are extremely rare. Authenticated and encapsulated by ACG:

  • Graded 66 EPQ, Diamond-level uncirculated condition, pristine white paper, no creases, yellowing, or stains; complete and three-dimensional engraving on the banknote; the seal features a unique sequential number, and the back seal includes a unique verification QR code for online authentication.
  • Thickened transparent grading casing effectively isolates the banknote from dust, moisture, and oxidation, preserving its original condition and preventing yellowing and brittleness.
