Product Introduction

This is a complete set of 2016 Year of the Monkey Macao 10-Palm Zodiac Commemorative Banknotes (Bank of China + Banco Nacional Ultramarino, same serial number). Both banknotes have identical serial numbers：Year of the Monkey 07901288. This is Macao's second set of zodiac commemorative polymer banknotes, issued in accordance with Macao Administrative Regulation No. 30/2011, and is legal tender.

Front Design Details

Main Visual：Traditional red paper-cut monkey holding a peach, paired with a circular disc representing the twelve earthly branches and twelve zodiac animals. A square seal with the character "福" (fortune) is printed in the upper right corner, symbolizing good fortune and longevity in the Year of the Monkey.

Issuing Bank Distinction

• Bank of China Version: "Bank of China" is printed at the top, signed by Ye Yixin, General Manager of the Macau Branch, and issued on January 1, 2016.

• Banco Nacional Ultramarino Version: "BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO" is printed at the top, along with Portuguese regulations and the issuance date.

Denomination and Serial Number："DEZ PATACAS" (Macau Patacas 10) is printed on the left, with a vertical serial number starting with the same digit as the Year of the Monkey, a color-changing optical numeral "10" in the center for security, and a pink-orange gradient fine engraving background.

Common Theme：A golden paper-cut monkey on the right, and a scene of children playing and celebrating the Spring Festival, blending Macau landmarks, the traditional Fuk Tak Shrine archway, and a traditional Chinese New Year celebration on the left, showcasing a fusion of Chinese and Western cultures; Issuing Bank Building Distinction

• Bank of China Version: The left side features the Bank of China Macau Headquarters Building;

• Banco Nacional Ultramarino Version: The left side features the Banco Nacional Ultramarino Headquarters Building;

Security Features：Vertical translucent security thread, multi-layered intaglio printing, color-changing ink numerals, all made with professional polymer banknote substrate, waterproof and fold-resistant.

Condition Description

Both banknotes are brand new, uncirculated, and in excellent condition. No creases, yellowing, or stains. The polymer substrate is intact and transparent. The color-changing security features are vibrant. Both banknotes have the same auspicious last two digits (88). They come with their original protective bag and are in perfect collector's condition.
