Product Description
1959 North Korean Second Series Subsidiary Currency 50 Chan, Pick #12, Serial Number TB269113; This is the smallest denomination subsidiary banknote in the series. The obverse features the national emblem, hammer, and rice ears, with the country name "Republic of Korea" at the top, the issuing bank "Central Bank of Korea," the denomination "오십전 (Fifty Chan)," and the year of issuance 1959. The reverse is printed in blue and orange using engraving, with a finely textured border, the denomination in large characters in the center, and a geometric watermark. It is a rare early North Korean subsidiary currency.
