Product Description

This set includes two North Korean first-generation watermarked subsidiary coins from 1947, namely Pick #5a (15 cheon) and Pick #6a (20 cheon), both special watermarked versions of the first banknotes issued after the founding of the Republic of Korea.

15 Cheon (Pick #5a)

The obverse features the inscription "Central Bank of North Korea Note, 50 Cheon," along with the year of issue, 1947. The reverse features a large denomination of 15 and Korean script. Graded 62EPQ Uncirculated by ACG.

20 Cheon (Pick #6a)

The obverse features "Central Bank of North Korea Note, 12 Cheon," 1947 edition. The reverse features the denomination of 20 with traditional engraved patterns. Also graded 62EPQ Uncirculated by ACG.

Both are exclusive watermarked versions, with the seal clearly marked "Watermarked Version." Each sheet comes with an independent QR code for online verification of authentication information. A dedicated grading case protects against stains, preserving the original paper and engraving details.
